Welcome to Eat Well Buffalo

Our philosophy is simple- if you Eat Well, you will Be Well. Food is powerful, and we can create wellness and prevent disease by making smart food choices. As our parents always told us, “You are what you eat”.

Eat Well Buffalo offers insight on how to live a simple and healthy life. Eat Well Buffalo is a practical approach to healthy nutrition, in addition to being easy and convenient and yet not costing a fortune. Both minimizing the number of ingredients and attempting to use mostly on-hand items will allow a more practical and less-complicated approach to some of the other more complex alternatives.

You can navigate our website to view what we believe are healthy choices at local WNY eateries. Or stop by In The Kitchen with Maya and Charlie to see what kid loving and nutritious delight is being concocted! We will show you some of our favorite healthy meals and offer recipes that you can make! Make sure and check out our healthy tips section. Our calendar will contain dates and times of local events that might be of interest to you.

Sally, the mastermind behind Eat Well Buffalo has journeyed from a career in the pharmaceutical industry to publishing Buffalo Natural Awakenings, always truly believing food can be very powerful and life changing. She received a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Business Administration with a focus in marketing from the University at Buffalo. She attended the Institute of Integrative Nutrition to earn her certified health coach title. She completed the coursework through Cornell to receive her plant-based nutrition certification. In addition she attended the Culinary Intensive Workshop through the prestigious Conscious Gourmet Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Sally has always been a firm believer that we need to take responsibility for our own health as well as being a positive contributor to our WNY community. Our emphasis and direction should be on the prevention of disease and taking those steps to eat healthy (plant based, whole foods as much as possible), incorporating exercise into our daily lives, practicing mindfulness and meditation, as well as being committed to recycling, sustainability and making a difference in this wonderful community in which we live.
