Farmers Markets- It’s so smart to check them out at home or away

We missed posting details about a local Farmers Market this past Friday on our EWB website. However, we did support a local Farmers Market located in Winchester, Virginia while attending a wedding there. If you have only attended markets in the WNY area, make sure and check out the local markets while you are visiting other locations. It’s so awesome to see the difference in what is seasonal from place to place. Healthy, nutritious, affordable and a great variety are just some of the reasons to check them out. Plus you are supporting the local economy and family farms. Of course Farmers Markets are always a great place to gather and to sample local goodies also. Bring the family or friends you are traveling with and make sure and get enough to take home for gifts or yourself depending on storage, time and distance from home. We bought delicious and juicy peaches in Virginia and they were some of the best ones we ever tasted. Much better than going to a convenient store and grabbing some processed or not-so-fresh items.
